The National Automobile Union (NAU) has appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a request not to fine drivers for violating road markings during snowfalls. NAS Vice President Anton Shaparin reported this to TASS: the union sent a corresponding letter to the head of the ministry, Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
“We ask the Ministry of Internal Affairs not to impose fines for violating all possible marking rules and everything related to entering the allocated lane, because often everything is hidden and it is not clear where you can enter it and where not. This greatly complicates the lives of drivers,” Shaparin noted.
The fine for illegal parking and violation of markings in Russia varies on average from 500 to 5,000 rubles.
Prior to this, the press service of the Traffic Management Center (GKU TsODD) of the Moscow government said that during snowfall, traffic cameras with non-obvious violations are turned off if they produce non-obvious results.
Earlier it was reported that they want to ban carsharing cars from parking in courtyards.
