The special version of the Vanquish Volante model is built in a single copy and will be auctioned as part of the winter wine festival in Florida. The funds raised will go to the Children’s Fund.
The Vanquish Volante convertible, available in a special Wave Edition, was developed by Q by Aston Martin, a car customization division. Wave’s design is inspired by the Collier County coastline. The main body color imitates the shades of water off the coast of the Everglades, a special tropical natural complex that occupies the southern quarter of the Florida peninsula. It is complemented by Club Sport White graphic accents on carbon elements, stylized as sea waves, and red brake calipers.
Inside the car, the designers sought to visualize an atmosphere of calm. The white seat upholstery is stitched with pale blue threads, and there are wavy graphic elements on the headrests.
The technical characteristics of the exclusive convertible correspond to the standard Vanquish Volante. Under the hood is a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 835 hp. The convertible can accelerate to “hundreds” in 3.4 seconds. The retractable roof opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16 seconds, which can be done at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Previously, the most authentic Mercedes-Benz Gullwing was sold at auction in France.
