The production of hybrid SUVs will be launched at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, it will start in the spring of 2026. At the initial stage, a “screwdriver” assembly is assumed – based on an already welded and painted body.
The Avtotor assembly line will include the Rox 01 and Rox Adamas SUVs. The exact prices and configurations of Russian-assembled vehicles will become known closer to the start of production. The companies view the project as a long-term investment and will explore opportunities for deeper localization in the future, the release notes.
The Rox Motor brand was founded in 2021 with the support of the Chinese industrial holding Weiqiao Pioneering Group and private investors from the UAE. The flagship model Rox 01 is a sequential hybrid: the internal combustion engine acts as a generator for the electric motors driving all four wheels. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and the range with a fully charged traction battery and a filled gas tank exceeds 1.1 thousand km. The car’s design was created by the Italian bureau Pininfarina.
Previously, cars were listed that remain reliable after 250 thousand km.
