The J6 crossover has received vehicle type approval (VTA), allowing mass production and sales to begin. In the document, it appears under two brands – Jeland and Jaecoo. Motor got acquainted with the OTTS of the new product.
According to the document, the manufacturer of Jeland J6 is AGM LLC, located in Shushary (St. Petersburg). The crossover will be available in regular and extended versions. The length of the standard version is 4380 mm, the extended version is 4503 or 4509 mm.
Jeland J6 is certified with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. For the front-wheel drive version, a 1.5 turbo engine with 146 hp is provided, for all-wheel drive – a 1.6 with 150 hp. Front-wheel drive cars are available with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a CVT. For all-wheel drive, a seven-speed “robot” is provided.
The day before it became known that three Jaecoo crossovers began to be assembled at the former General Motors plant in Shushary. Later, the press service of AGR Holding introduced the new Jeland brand, without providing details about the model range.
