These unsold cars are located at the manufacturer and in the dealer network, and there are practically no HS sedans left, said Sergei Tselikov, general director of the analytical agency Autostat. In January 2026, just over 1.5 thousand Solaris cars were sold in Russia, and in total during the production of cars under this brand – almost 51 thousand cars.

“There are just under 20 thousand Solaris cars left at the car plant and in the dealer network. At the same time, there are practically no HS sedans left. About 60% of the stock comes from HC crossovers (Creta). There are slightly more KRX (formerly KIA Rio X) hatchbacks in stock than KRS (formerly KIA Rio) sedans,” Tselikov wrote.

According to him, from March 2024 to December 2025, more than 70 thousand cars under the Solaris brand were assembled at the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg. HC crossovers (formerly known as Hyundai Creta) accounted for more than 40% of the circulation, the rest were HS, KRX and KRS models.

As of the end of January 2026, 50.9 thousand of them were sold, the head of Autostat specified. These include 18.8 thousand Solaris HC crossovers, as well as 16 thousand HS sedans (formerly Hyundai Solaris), 9 thousand Solaris KRX hatchbacks (formerly Kia Rio X) and 7.1 thousand KRS sedans (Kia Rio).
