The new product will retain the classic rectangular body shape for SUVs with a massive radiator grille.
Key exterior details include round headlights like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, classic door handles, roof rails and a spare tire mounted on the tailgate. There is also lidar installed on the roof, indicating the presence of driver assistance systems. The length of the car exceeds five meters, and the wheelbase is 2950 mm.
The SUV will receive a power plant with four electric motors. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h will take about 4 seconds.
A prototype of the SUV has already been shown to the public at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2025. At the same time, Hongqi launched a competition for the best name for the new product. The winner, the company said, will receive a car with license plate 001.
The official market launch date and exact technical specifications have not yet been disclosed.
Earlier it was reported that the revived Russo-Balt brand promised to reduce prices.
