The incident occurred on Andropov Avenue due to a utility accident. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Caution, Moscow”.
“Drivers talk about the flood on Andropov Avenue <...>. They also share footage of cars struggling through streams of water. A traffic jam has formed on the flooded street,” the publication says.
Eyewitnesses recorded the incident. The footage shows cars driving along flooded roads, while a snowstorm continues outside. According to the Department of Transport, traffic in the area of the Technopark metro station was difficult. The water leakage onto the road has now been contained.
Previously, on the Moscow Ring Road, skidding trucks were filmed, impeding traffic. Multi-ton heavy trucks paralyzed travel on the 65th kilometer of the outer side of the Moscow Ring Road. According to the Department of Transport and the Data Control Center, traffic jams in the capital are estimated at 6 points. Currently, traffic is difficult on the Moscow Ring Road, in the area of Marshal Katukova Street and on the Third Transport Ring in the area of 66 Sushchevsky Val Street.
