The purpose of the modernization was to improve controllability and predictability of behavior on the road, as well as to bring the design into compliance with current environmental and safety requirements.

“We have reached an important milestone in the Ural Neo journey: the engineering development of the Ural Neo 500 has been completed and the final technical specification has been confirmed. This marks the end of a year-long process of refining the original platform with three priorities: performance, reliability and compliance,” the Ural Motorcycles press service said.

During the work, the air filter and filter element were replaced, the clutch design was redesigned and an individual calibration of the Neo motorcycle engine was performed.

In the chassis design, the stroller frame has been modified and its attachment points have been revised, the front fork and front brake mounts have been strengthened, and a hydraulic steering damper has been installed.

The updates affected the suspension and braking system: new shock absorbers were installed, the brakes were inspected and a mechanical parking brake was added. The brake and clutch levers have also been changed, and the steering switches have been updated. The lighting equipment, wiring harness and instrument panel have been redesigned.

The new product should enter the market before the end of 2026.

Earlier it was reported that the revived Russo-Balt brand promised to reduce prices.
