Nissan has announced a large-scale recall campaign that will affect 642,986 Rogue crossovers – this is the American equivalent of the X-Trail model. Cars from model years 2023-2025, which are equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5-liter VC Turbo series units, will be sent for service.
The main feature of VC Turbo is its variable compression ratio. (However, in mid-2025, Nissan engineers recognized the system as too complex, and therefore new cars of the brand do not have it.)
As for the earlier cars affected by the recall, they were let down by the throttle body, in which the plastic drive gear was not strong enough.
In addition, under certain operating conditions, the temperature of the engine oil exceeds the established limits, which can lead to jamming of the crankshaft bearings.
The new engine from Geely and Renault surprised with its ultra-low fuel consumption. Confiscated Lamborghini was sold to “whoever needs it” for only 10 million rubles. In Russia, they launched the production of a new crossover for 2.5 million rubles.
Meanwhile, Nissan closed seven plants amid multibillion-dollar losses. The Japanese automaker is rapidly cutting 20 thousand redundant employees. Losses for the year will amount to $4.2 billion.
