The Moskvich automobile plant began production of the new UMO 5 model. The Chinese electric car GAC Aion Y Plus acted as a “donor”. The dimensions of the new product are as follows: length – 4535 mm, width – 1870 mm, height – 1650 mm, and the wheelbase is 2750 mm. In its format, the car resembles the Chery Tiggo 7, and in a taxi it corresponds to the “Comfort+” tariff.
“UMO will be available to retail customers, including through the plant’s dealer network. By the end of the year, it is planned to produce over three thousand of these electric vehicles,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The car is driven by an electric motor producing 204 horsepower. The traction battery is a battery with a capacity of 63.2 kWh, with which the UMO must travel 400-420 km.
As for prices, the estimated cost of UMO 5 will be 2.5 million rubles (including the subsidy for electric transport, which is now 925 thousand rubles).
