The Moskvich line has been replenished with two models based on MG crossovers. The Chinese concern Changan is introducing a new hybrid brand, Deepal, to the market. The first model will be the large, angular crossover G318, more than five meters long. This is a sequential hybrid: the 1.5 turbo engine works as a generator for two electric motors with a total power of 184 hp.
The Jaecoo brand is expanding its presence with the more affordable J6 model. The front-wheel drive crossover with a 1.5 turbo engine (147 hp) has good cross-country ability and an interior that is resistant to scratches from animal claws.
Finally, Omoda is preparing a deep update for the C5. The second generation crossover changed its design to a more aggressive one and received split screens in the cabin. Front-wheel drive versions will be equipped with a 1.5 engine (147 hp) and a new “robot” instead of a CVT, and all-wheel drive versions will be equipped with a 1.6 engine (150 hp) and a 7-speed robot.
