Now importers are relying on models with power up to 160 hp, and localization of production has become a key trend: idle factories are coming to life.

One of the most anticipated new products was the domestic electric car “Atom”. The four-seater, four-meter-long electric car is distinguished by its hinged rear doors and unusual interior architecture: there is no conventional instrument panel, its functions are performed by a touch display built into the steering wheel. The rear-wheel drive “Atom” is equipped with a 204 hp engine. and a battery with a capacity of 77 kWh, providing a range of 500 km. Acceleration to hundreds takes 8 seconds, reports “Behind the wheel”.

In the spring, a serious update awaits the Lada Niva Legend. The three-door version will receive LED headlights – this became known from photographs of the Niva Sport version published by the head of the VAZ sports department.

The Moskvich line has been replenished with two models based on MG crossovers. The Moskvich M70, based on the MG HS (length 4655 mm), is offered with front-wheel drive and 1.5 (150 hp) or 2.0 (200 hp) turbo engines. The flagship Moskvich M90 (base – MG QS) with a length of almost 5 meters received a three-row interior, a 200-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive.

The Chinese concern Changan is introducing a new hybrid brand, Deepal, to the market. The first model will be the large, angular crossover G318, more than five meters long. This is a sequential hybrid: the 1.5 turbo engine works as a generator for two electric motors with a total power of 184 hp.

The Jaecoo brand is expanding its presence with the more affordable J6 model. The front-wheel drive crossover with a 1.5 turbo engine (147 hp) has good cross-country ability and an interior that is resistant to scratches from animal claws.

Finally, Omoda is preparing a deep update for the C5. The second generation crossover changed its design to a more aggressive one and received split screens in the cabin. Front-wheel drive versions will be equipped with a 1.5 engine (147 hp) and a new “robot” instead of a CVT, and all-wheel drive versions will be equipped with a 1.6 engine (150 hp) and a 7-speed robot.
