The GAC Aion V is a compact urban crossover with a length of 4605 mm, width of 1854 mm, height of 1686 mm and a wheelbase of 2775 mm. A single electric motor (204 hp and 210 N⋅m) rotates the front wheels, providing acceleration to 100 km/h in 7.9 s. It is important that the model is a close relative of the Toyota bZ3X: they have a common body, aggregate components and much more.
Electric vehicle tax is charged on the maximum 30-minute power of the electric motor, and for the GAC Aion V this figure is 45 kW (61 hp).
The model is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 75.26 kWh. The range on one charge is 580 km according to the NEDC cycle – this is enough for a week of driving in city mode.
It is important that the heating system is equipped with a heat pump, which reduces energy consumption by 50%, increasing the range of the electric car during winter operation.
The list of equipment includes seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, all-round cameras, and front and rear parking sensors.
