During the period from March 2022 to February 2026 inclusive, almost 2.25 million passenger cars produced in China were imported into Russia, the head of the Autostat agency Sergei Tselikov reported in his Telegram channel.
The most popular new model among all imported new passenger cars from China was the Geely Monjaro crossover, which sold 117 thousand copies. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (114.3 thousand) was slightly behind it.
The top five also included Omoda C5 (99.5 thousand), Chery Tiggo 4 (91.4 thousand) and Haval M6 (61.1 thousand).
In parallel with the flow of new cars, cars with mileage older than three years were also imported into Russia from China. Over the course of four years, more than 112 thousand such cars have accumulated.
The most popular used models were the Toyota Corolla (more than 5.7 thousand), Toyota RAV4 (4.5 thousand) and the Honda Breeze crossover (almost 2.7 thousand). The top five also included the Volkswagen Golf and Audi Q3.
