Among five sets of summer tires with dimensions 205/55 R16 from the budget price segment, tested on braking and shifting on dry and wet surfaces, the Triangle SporteX TH201 tires showed the worst results. Sailun Atrezzo Elite is doing a little better. In the middle of the list is the domestic Cordiant Comfort 2. It was ahead of the Uzbek tires Bars Solarflexx and Landsail LS588 UHP from a young Chinese company that grew out of a large tire distributor.

“The Triangle is especially hopeless on wet asphalt – the difference with the Landsail was over 5 meters! Let’s add here poor results on the “rearrangement”, worse handling time on the track, high rolling resistance, rigidity, noise, and we get a tire that you won’t want to pay a ruble for,” notes the Auto Mail publication.

Triangle tires provided quick reactions of the car when turning the steering wheel, but showed very weak ultimate grip properties. The Sailun Atrezzo Elite tires showed a good level of comfort due to the soft sidewalls, but were disappointing with the ambivalence of reactions during any intense maneuvers: driving a car with these tires requires solid emergency control skills.

Tires from the Russian brand Cordiant showed below average results in the test, losing even to Chinese ones. According to Auto Mail, these tires lack lateral grip on dry pavement, and as a result, they fail both on the “reversal” and on the handling line. But they behave more predictably in extreme conditions and demonstrate good results on wet roads.

Second place in the tests was taken by Bars Solarflexx tires, which are produced in Uzbekistan under the control of Ikon Tires. Among their advantages are clear feedback on the steering wheel and minimal braking distance on dry asphalt. The Landsail LS588 UHP that won the test recorded the shortest braking distance on wet surfaces. In general, the reserve of grip properties of the tires of this Chinese brand was enough to get ahead of their rivals in the test.

Previously, the Russians were told about tires that are not recommended for use on a crossover.
