The Jaecoo J6 crossover, which recently appeared in showrooms, could become the brand’s main model in Russia, accounting for up to half of its total sales. The director of Avilon Omoda, Maria Simvolokova, told the analytical agency Autostat about this.

“The main competitors of the new product on the Russian market can be considered Haval Jolion, Haval H3, Belgee X50 and Geely Cityray. Front-wheel drive vehicles are currently being delivered, with all-wheel drive versions expected a little later. I think that the Active version will be in greatest demand among corporate clients. For retail buyers, the Comfort and Prestige configurations will most likely become the most popular,” Simvolokova said.

The youngest model of the Jaecoo brand, the J6 crossover, has complemented the line, which already includes the J7 and J8. At the start of sales, three trim levels are available – Active, Comfort and Prestige. All of them are equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 147 hp, a 6-speed DCT6 robot and front-wheel drive. The price range is from 2.3 to 2.7 million rubles.

The main detail of the Jaecoo J6’s exterior is the massive radiator grille, reminiscent of a “whalebone”. Full LED optics are complemented by two lines of running lights. There is an independent suspension at the front and a multi-link at the rear. Ground clearance – 176 mm.

Previously, the first-generation Haval H9 crossover was criticized for corrosion and sensor failure.
