The installation of in-vehicle emergency call devices (UVEOS) on cars imported into Russia by citizens for personal use will not be mandatory from April 1, 2026. This date was set as the deadline for the return of this measure, which was repealed several years ago.
“The introduction of mandatory equipping of vehicles imported by individuals with emergency call devices connected to the ERA-GLONASS system from April 1, 2026 is not planned and is postponed to a later date,” TASS quoted the Ministry of Industry and Trade as saying.
The ministry added that the draft government decree is undergoing an interdepartmental approval procedure. The date of its approval is planned to be announced later.
It also became known that large-scale assembly of electric scooters for kick-sharing has started in Moscow. It was established in the Moskvich technocluster. The company also carries out setup of all systems, comprehensive testing of electronics, as well as checking the serviceability of wheels, brake systems and lighting devices.
