The presentation of new products is scheduled for March 31. It is expected that the largest crossover in the line, the GLS, will receive the most modern version of the V8 turbo engine.
“World premiere of the new GLS, GLE and GLE Coupé models. Watch the world premiere on March 31, 2026 at 19:00 Central European Time,” notes the announcement on the official Mercedes-Benz website.
This will be the second restyling for the current generation models, and, judging by the first data, the engineers have worked not only on the appearance. According to Carscoops, the flagship GLS 580 will likely receive a new V8 4.0 biturbo engine, which recently debuted on the restyled S-Class. Recoil – 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque. The younger versions of the 450 will be equipped with an improved in-line six 3.0. Power will remain at 376 hp, but peak thrust will increase by 60 Nm to 560 Nm.
Externally, the trio will be distinguished by new radiator grilles, slightly larger bumpers and, of course, LED optics with a “star” theme. The headlights are expected to feature signature trefoils, while the taillights will feature triangular graphics. For the GLS, including the Maybach version, stars will now decorate not only the headlights, but also the radiator grille.
The main intrigue is in the cabin. Spy photos confirm: instead of the usual separate “tablet”, a massive display will be installed here, which stretches from rack to rack. It is shaped like the screen of the electric GLC. At the same time, in the basic equipment there will be two screens, and a continuous display almost a meter long can be ordered for an additional fee.
