Tests are being carried out simultaneously on four cars in two directions, the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant told Izvestia.
The first pair of cars are involved in road tests for 100 thousand kilometers. Their main task is to check the efficiency of the exhaust gas converter. Control measurements of toxicity are carried out every 10-15 thousand kilometers in the laboratory of the Motor testing center of the Zavolzhsky branch of UAZ.
Two more Patriots are being tested over the same distance, but with an emphasis on the reliability of the engine, gearbox and transfer case. The route includes difficult sections: broken roads, sticky soil and real off-road conditions. Test engineers note that no abnormal situations arose during the tests.
Previously, during 2025 and January 2026, the plant calibrated the engine control unit in various climatic zones: in heat (Elista), highlands (Kislovodsk, Elbrus region) and at low temperatures (Ulyanovsk and the region).
Based on the results of these works, the diesel engine received a certificate of compliance with pollutant emission standards (UN Regulation No. 83-06).
