It all started with an emotional post on his personal blog. Li Xiang admitted that the company has been persecuted for many years, IT Home reports.

“The first time we were attacked, I was advised to be wiser and ask myself: why are they slandering you? The second time they advised me to scream, but more quietly, so that the offender would be pleased. Then came the third, fourth and endless attacks. Everyone loves your maturity and ability to endure,” he wrote with bitter irony on his blog.

However, the real resonance was caused by his previous statement, where he compared his ill-wishers with traitors. “History has proven more than once: a pseudo-army often acts more disgustingly than the Japanese invaders. The automobile business is no exception,” said the head of Li Auto.

According to the businessman, he is tired of remaining silent. He claims that a certain “Japanese brand” (a clear reference to Nissan) has hired hordes of “marketing soldiers.” They, under the guise of ordinary users, create fake accounts, fabricate lies and deliberately write bad comments under publications about Li Auto products. This, according to Li Xiang, is already seriously hindering business.

Now the company intends to act tough: file lawsuits and demand that the authorities restore order. “Foreign brands should not be allowed to destroy the healthy atmosphere in the market,” Li Xiang said.

To prove his words, the head of Li Auto published screenshots with custom comments from hired users and correspondence from Dongfeng Nissan managers.
