The Russian-assembled Omoda C7 crossover has appeared in the Rosstandart database – the cars will be produced at the former Volkswagen plant near Kaluga. Previously, Chinese-made cars were supplied to the Russian market. Motor magazine found this out by studying the download of vehicle type approvals.
In terms of size, the Omoda C7 is comparable to its closest relative on the T1X platform, the Jetour Dashing crossover. Length – 4660 mm, width – 1875 mm, height – 1670 mm. Wheelbase – 2720 mm.
On the Russian market, the Omoda C7 manufactured in China is offered only with a 150-horsepower 1.6 TGDI turbo engine, a seven-speed “robot” and two types of drive – front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Russian-assembled cars will have a different configuration. A 150-horsepower 150-horsepower engine will be combined with front-wheel drive, and a 186-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo engine with all-wheel drive.
Global sales of Omoda and Jaecoo have exceeded 1 million vehicles. This milestone was overcome before the brands’ third anniversary, which they are preparing to celebrate at the Beijing Auto Show.
