Nissan has unveiled a new product strategy. As part of the presentation, the management of the struggling brand announced several new developments. Among them is a new generation of the popular Juke model, which will become electric.
The Japanese automaker is rapidly cutting 20 thousand redundant employees. Nissan’s losses due to business restructuring at the end of the year will amount to $4.2 billion, the company itself predicts.
To improve the situation, the company’s management is seeking to update its line of models. Thus, the upcoming premieres include the Nissan Juke EV, that is, a new generation of crossover.
It is assumed that the basis will be the Renault Megane E-Tech on the modular CMF-EV platform. The premiere of the new product should take place before the end of this year, and the release of the current version will also continue.
