The company spoke about the nuances of modernizing the paint shop of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant as part of the release of the corporate program “Rezavodki”.
According to the press service of the enterprise, the main result of the work carried out was an increase in product quality, an increase in productivity and the creation of more comfortable and safe working conditions for employees.
A key innovation was the launch of a second polishing line with an automatic conveyor and a table for distributing bodies between lines. Now inspection and polishing of bodies are carried out in time with the line, which makes it possible to maintain the technological cycle in one work shift. Both lines, including the new one, can operate in two automatic modes – as a polishing line or as a body storage warehouse, and switching between modes takes only a few seconds.
After polishing the body of the pickup trucks, Sollers are moved to the newly installed masking lines No. 1 or No. 2, where they are coated with a protective compound – polyurea. If previously the distribution of bodies between stages was done manually, now the entire process is fully automated.
As part of improving working conditions, more than 120 new lamps were installed in the finishing painting area and the supply ventilation was updated. This made workplaces brighter and the air in production areas fresher and cleaner.
