According to the head of the agency, Sergei Tselikov, in January-March, only 840 cars produced at factories in Kazakhstan were registered in Russia.

This is exactly half the figure for the same period last year, when 1,770 cars were registered.

We are talking about only three brands, whose assembly is established on the territory of the republic: Hyundai (470 units), KIA (290 units) and Skoda (75 units).

All other brands are not included in the statistics. Supplies are carried out privately under alternative import schemes, and the total share of Kazakh cars on the Russian market is now only 0.3%.
