Modern station wagons combine practicality with the dynamics of sports cars. The power of the most outstanding models varies from 306 to 761 horsepower, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes from 2.8 to 4.9 seconds. Analysts from the Avto.ru classification told Motor magazine about this; they noted that all these cars are now in sales advertisements.
The line of lots opens with the Volvo V60 T8 hybrid station wagon: its power plant produces 405 hp, which allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The Germans from Audi go further: the current generation of RS4 is equipped with a twin-turbo V6 producing 450 hp. and reaches 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds. The even more aggressive RS6 uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, producing between 600 and 630 hp, cutting acceleration time to 3.6 seconds, service officials said.
According to the Avto.ru study, the BMW M3 with an in-line six, the power of which varies from 510 to 530 hp, stands out among the Bavarians. — dynamics are similar to RS6: about 3.6 seconds to hundreds. The American Cadillac CTS-V II combines the practicality of an E-Class family station wagon with the character of a muscle car: the gasoline engine produces an impressive 564 hp, the report says.
Experts also note the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake. It is equipped with an AMG petrol engine with power ranging from 557 to 585 hp. And the modern Chinese Zeekr 007 GT with all-wheel drive develops 422 hp at its peak.
The upper power bar is set by two giants. The BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 625 hp. However, the absolute record belongs to the Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo: in Launch Control mode, the system releases 761 hp, allowing the station wagon to reach 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.
The review of the Avto.ru service is completed by the compact Mini Clubman JCW John Cooper Works. Its 2-liter turbo engine (306 hp) paired with ALL4 all-wheel drive and sports suspension makes the car incredibly lively and agile, accelerating it to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
