The Dacia brand has launched the 2027 model year Sandero hatchback for testing. The appearance of the car remained the same, but the Hybrid nameplate appeared on the trunk lid, reports Motor.es. As photo spies suggest, next season the model will try on a gas-electric power plant.

The fact that Dacia Sandero will be able to offer customers a hybrid version is also hinted at by the protective casing spotted by spies, which hides the traction battery located under the bottom.

According to insiders, the car will receive a Hybrid 155 system, which is based on a 1.8-liter 109-horsepower engine, a 50-horsepower traction motor and a starter-generator.

The transmission uses a unique robotic gearbox – without a clutch or synchronizers, and the gears are switched by cam clutches. Electronics help avoid jerks.

Considering the small curb weight of the hatchback, the new product should show good dynamics, since the peak power of the unit is quite respectable 155 hp.
