Motor magazine drew attention to an unusual ad that appeared on one of the popular Internet bulletin boards. In Krasnodar, the classic British cab Metrocab Taxi, produced in 2000, manufactured by the Tushinsky Machine-Building Plant is for sale.
In 1996, the Tushinsky Machine-Building Plant (TMZ) received several new first-generation Metrocab Taxi from the UK. The cars, having traveled more than 700 thousand km, have proven to be reliable.
In 1998, Moskab OJSC was organized, which was partly owned by the British Metrocab LH Limited (40%), Tushinsky Machine-Building Plant (30%) and the Moscow Property Department (30%).
This enterprise began assembling Metrocabs at the facilities of TMZ from SKD vehicle kits coming from the UK. In Moscow, 115 cars of the second generation were assembled, distinguished by a left-hand drive.
One of these copies is currently for sale. “Plastic body, powerful frame, seven-seater spacious and high interior, small turning radius, relatively low fuel consumption,” the seller describes the car.
For a 2000 car that has covered 150 thousand km, the seller plans to earn 380 thousand rubles. It is noted that the “cab” has not been in use for a long time, but is periodically serviced properly.
