The new all-wheel drive crossover of the revived Russo-Balt brand will compete with premium cars of famous brands. A representative of the Perm company told a Motor correspondent about this; he noted that these are Japanese and German auto companies.
“The main competitors of the Russo-Balt C55 crossover on the Russian market will be such all-wheel drive models as the Lexus LX 570, BMW X6, Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes-Benz GLS. They are suitable both in price and in size,” said a representative of the Russo-Balt press service in a conversation with a Motor correspondent.
The Russo-Balt C55 mid-size crossover will be presented in the summer of 2026; pre-orders for the car are already open for delivery in 2027. The car received two electric motors with a total power of 550 hp. With. and all-wheel drive
The crossover body is made of solid stainless steel panels, which are molded at the factory. The total weight is 3490 kg, which allows you to drive it with a category “B” driver’s license.
Optionally, four electric motors with a capacity of 1 thousand hp, air suspension, a four-seater cabin and a hybrid power plant will be available.
The basic equipment will include a panoramic roof, double side windows, tires with a diameter of 880 mm on 20-inch forged wheels, leather seats with ventilation and heating (seater for five), LED optics, a 15-inch touch display, four all-round cameras, tire pressure sensors, an audio system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, as well as control of functions via a smartphone.
The price of the basic configuration will be 8 million rubles (indicated as of April 2026), the company assures.
