Great Wall Motor is preparing to expand its Wey brand hybrid vehicle lineup. The flagship six-seater crossover WEY V9X, expected in Russia, has undergone extensive testing in various climatic and road conditions to adapt to operation on the local market, the company’s press service reports.

The model was prepared for release based on the results of three-month winter tests, which took place from January to April 2026 in Surgut, Moscow and Murmansk.

The car was tested in temperatures as low as -35°C, checking the hybrid powertrain, transmission, suspension, electronics and operation of all systems in cold conditions.

Wey V9X is a six-seat crossover with all-wheel drive. It will receive a two-liter turbo engine as part of a hybrid installation, a rear wheel steering system and air suspension.

The model is being adapted for Russia: a winter package is provided with heating of all seats, steering wheel, windshield, mirrors and windshield washer nozzles, as well as enhanced anti-corrosion treatment of the body.

The Wey V9X model will be presented on the Russian market in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Previously, 10 family crossovers that never break down were named.
