Rosstandart allowed the Russian office of Shacman to resume sales of 1,996 new trucks based on the results of the recall campaign, its own source told the Auto Mail project. These vehicles of the X3000/X5000 families (wheel formulas 6×4 and 6×6) were previously recalled by OTTS due to the discrepancy between the declared parameters and the actual ones.

The reason for the recall of the OTTS was the non-compliance of the equipment with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union “On the safety of wheeled vehicles”: problems with the design of rear underrun protection and side protective devices, as well as exceeding permissible noise standards.

To eliminate the violations, the trucks were subjected to modifications, including checking the mufflers, replacing the reinforced tailgate locks with standard ones (80 mm shorter), installing other side protection and similar work.

Earlier, the head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, Anton Shalaev, suggested that the so-called “golden sample” was used for certification. According to the head of Rosstandart, the Chinese side could have deceived the regulator.
