According to the Mash telegram channel, a proposal to limit street drift at the legislative level was voiced by Vologda officials after one of the local residents “twirled donuts” on a Gazelle in front of the Vologda City Hall. A video of this prank appeared in the comments on the telegram channel of the regional governor, after which deputies drew attention to it.
After the video was made public, the police found and detained the newspaper writer – he apologized. However, the matter did not end there: Vologda deputy Lyubov Tsareva submitted for consideration an initiative to legislate the concept of “drifting” in the Traffic Rules. Tsareva proposes to ban drifting outside of specially designated places and events.

In the traffic rules, “drifting” can join the already included “dangerous driving”. In October, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill establishing fines of up to five thousand rubles for dangerous behavior on the road – the initiative was introduced by a group of deputies from the LDPR and Senator Elena Afanasyeva.
It is expected that if the draft law is adopted, the Code of Administrative Offenses will be supplemented with a new article 12.38. It provides for administrative liability for “dangerous driving” – violators face a fine of three to five thousand rubles.
