EVM has introduced a new model of the UMO line – the UMO 8 hybrid crossover. Its gasoline engine produces 156 hp. plays the role of a generator, and two electric motors drive the front and rear wheels. The total power of the electric motors is 340 hp.
UMO 8 is confusingly similar in appearance to the Chinese crossover GAC S7, which entered the Russian market a few months ago. GAC calls the front optics of the S7 crossover “eyes” rather than headlights.
GAC S7 is now offered at a price of 5.7 million rubles. The entry-level ST version has 20-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, and power front seats with ventilation, heating and massage.
The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The claimed total range is 867 km (153 km of which is electric only), and fast charging the battery from 30 to 80% takes only 18 minutes.
