According to a joint survey by Mamba and Sberauto, for almost 80% of men, having a woman’s own car does not play a role when meeting or building relationships.
“Only 21% are ready to date a man without a car, 46% hope that he will have a car over time, and another 33% do not consider a partner without a car at all,” the text says.
According to the survey, for most women a car is associated primarily with freedom (64%). Another 55% believe that having a car indicates a willingness to help and give a ride. 22% associate a car with self-confidence, and 18% with reliability. Every fifth woman (20%) perceives a car as an indicator of a partner’s wealth, and 17% as a sign of status and ambition.
Men see less romance in a woman driving. For 44%, having a car means mobility for a girl, for 33% it means practicality, for 28% it means independence. Self-confidence was noted by 26%, and style, taste, status and ambition – by 12% each.
More than half of men (55%) said that the make of a girl’s car does not matter to them. If there are preferences, then women are more likely to like practical cars without a hint of status (17%), as well as Japanese cars and premium models (15% each). German cars make girls more attractive only in the eyes of 7% of respondents. Sports cars, SUVs and pickup trucks were among the least popular options. Women turned out to be more demanding in this matter. For 28% of girls, the brand of their partner’s car is not important. The rest have clear preferences: premium cars (37%), Japanese brands (29%), large SUVs and pickups (24%), German brands (15%) and practical cars (7%).
According to the survey, women value calm and confidence in drivers (67%), politeness to other road users (36%) and careful driving (32%). The main “red flags” for girls were aggressive driving style, chaotic lane changes, as well as constant use of the horn and obscene language while driving. Men also note the importance of a calm driving style (48%). But what irritates them most is a phone in their hands while driving (58%) and aggression on the road (42%).
