As Rossiyskaya Gazeta found out, the official Chery website in Russia has stopped working. When you try to go to the site, an error appears: “The connection cannot be established. The website www.chery.ru deliberately rejected the connection.” This probably indicates the complete departure of the brand from the Russian market.

Chery’s departure from the Russian Federation did not come as a surprise: in early June, the brand removed the Tiggo 8 Pro Max and Tiggo 4 models from sale. This was part of a gradual reduction in the brand’s presence in the Russian market.

In the first quarter of 2026, 3,265 new Chery cars were sold in Russia. This is almost 8 times less than during the same period in 2025, when dealers sold 25,757 cars (a drop of 87.3%).
