The French companies Alpine and Lacoste presented a joint project – a concept based on the electric hot hatch A290 Rallye called “Beware of the Crocodile”. The car received a bright design, referencing the Lacoste emblem, and became part of a joint collection of clothing and accessories, Carscoops reports.

The concept’s exterior is predominantly white with red accents, inspired by the color of the crocodile tongue in the Lacoste logo. The car is equipped with widened wheel arches, a modified front bumper with red inserts on the headlights and daytime running lights, as well as a large number of carbon fiber parts. The hatchback received classic white wheels and an air intake, like the standard version of the A290 Rallye.

The most striking detail is the rear: instead of glass, a large red crocodile head is installed, partially submerged in water, the role of which is played by a ducktail-style rear spoiler painted in the same color.

The interior of the concept is completely done in red. The dashboard features hundreds of small crocodiles, while the sports seats and door panels are trimmed in red Lacoste petit piqué fabric. The embroidery is done by the same company that creates crocodile emblems for Lacoste polos. To reduce weight, 3D printed elements were used in the seat design.

In addition to the car, the Alpine-Lacoste partnership includes a commercial featuring Lacoste brand ambassador, actor Pierre Ninet, and Alpine F1 driver Pierre Gasly, as well as the release of a capsule collection consisting of polos, T-shirts, accessories and other clothing items.
