General Motors has updated the basic modification of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sports car. From now on, the model is equipped with a naturally-aspirated V8 engine of the new LS6 series, which, having 6.7 liters of displacement, produces 542 hp. and 705 Nm. The performance of the previous V8 6.2 LT2 engine is 497 hp. and 630 Nm.
With a more powerful engine, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray’s top speed increased by 6 mph, reaching 200 mph (322 km/h). The new product accelerates to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.8 seconds.
The cost of a car for the 2027 model year is 74 thousand dollars, which is equivalent to 5.7 million rubles. That’s four times less than what American dealers are asking for a Porsche 911 Turbo S.
Such a low price for such a fast car should attract new buyers: in this budget, a sports car simply has no direct competitors.
