In the first half of the year, 226 thousand Honda CR-V crossovers were sold on the US market. This result allowed the model to rise to first place in the national rating, surpassing the previous leaders – Ford F-150 (209 thousand units) and Toyota RAV4 (154 thousand units).

The Ford brand is not able to ship large quantities of F-150 pickup trucks to customers, since the production of these vehicles is now limited, notes Automotive News.

According to the publication, the automaker is experiencing a shortage of components, as a key supplier of sheet aluminum is now recovering from a fire.

Toyota did not count on rush demand from buyers, so the new generation RAV4 crossovers are being produced less than the market requires.

The Japanese Honda CR-V has become a sales leader thanks to the presence of an economical hybrid modification, as well as the company’s competent leasing policy, experts point out.
