The new version of the Chinese crossover with a combination of a two-liter engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission will cost Russians 4,449,000 rubles, reports the Jetour press service. For comparison: T2 with a “robot” as of the end of January costs 3,959,000 or 4,249,000 rubles, depending on the configuration. The top version is distinguished from others not only by the presence of an automatic rifle, but also by an expanded list of equipment.

The T2 Discovery will be equipped with an air purification system in the cabin, a driver’s seat with a massage function, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and heated second-row seat backs. In addition, this crossover has adjustable leg support for the front passenger seat, a 220-volt power outlet in the trunk, a start/stop system and a full-size spare tire instead of the temporary spare tire box, as in the “junior” versions of Voyage and Expedition.

But the main difference between the new version and the others is the hydromechanical eight-speed automatic transmission. This gearbox has been in production since 2022, and can now be found, for example, on the Exeed TXL and Chery Arrizo 8. The engine is the same as the version with the “robot” – a two-liter gasoline turbo engine with 245 horsepower.

Regardless of configuration and modification, the T2 has XWD all-wheel drive with a sixth-generation BorgWarner clutch. Acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour takes 8.7 seconds, and the top speed is 180 kilometers per hour.

Jetour T2 entered the Russian market in the spring of 2024 and became the first model of the off-road T line. In 2024, the T2 sold 10,298 units, and this model accounts for 29 percent of the brand’s total sales.
