The Chelninsky auto giant entered the capital of the domestic premium brand with a share of 0.5 percent. Changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities were discovered by Interfax. In the past, the owner of a similar share was Sollers, but in April 2024 the holding sold all shares of Hit Motors Rus and remained an industrial partner. The exact composition of the owners of Aurus LLC is now not disclosed.
In 2024, the main shareholders of Aurus were FSUE by us (63.5%) and the Tawazun Arab Foundation (36%), and the share of 0.5%belonged to Hit Motors Rus. The owner of 99% Hit Motors Rus is the Kazakhstani company High End Assembly Technologies Motors, and 1% belongs to Hans Peter Moser – the general director of the Moskvich Automobile Plant and the former head of the KAMAZ K5 project. The Chelninsky Auto Gigant claims that he is not a participant in Hit Motors Rus.

Last year, it was assumed that KamAZ could help Aurus restart the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg. However, the production of “auruses” in the northern capital was impossible without a Chinese partner. According to unofficial data, the FAW concern refused to cooperate due to sanctions risks. Toyota plants are in force, but the deadlines are not called the Toyota plant.
Currently Aurus cars are produced at the capacities of us in Moscow and in the Elabuzh district of the Republic of Tatarstan. All special orders are performed in the capital, and the conveyor near Naberezhnye Chelnov only works with unarous cars – sedans and crossovers. The updated Aurus Senat can be registered in Tatarstan at the end of the year.
