During the Fuorisalone 2025 event, which takes place in Italy and which is sponsored among the others, the Chinese BYD was announced on the launch of Denza in Europe. Denza was founded in 2011 by BYD and Mercedes-Benz, but in the fall of the 2024th, the German automaker left the joint project, so that from that moment Denza became a full-fledged BYD sub-brand. Under this name in China and a number of other countries (including in Russia, but unofficially), electrified premium cars are sold.
To date, the Denza model line consists of five models: minivan D9, crossovers N7 and N8, Z9 Sedan and Z9 GT station wagon. Over the past year, the brand sales amounted to 125,674 cars. Now Denza has aimed at the European market, intending to compete there with the “German three”-BMW, Audi and its former co-owner of Mercedes-Benz. And the company’s plan is as follows: under the name Denza, Europeans will be offered not only directly the models of this brand, but also other BYD sub -brands, which is Fang Cheng Bao and Yangwang, writes CARNEWSCHINA.
