In Russia, the model has not been sold since 2019 – then Ford restructured the local business, turned the production and sale of budget cars, including focus. Focus also left the markets of the United States and China, and in 2024 it became known that the days of the model in Europe were numbered. Now the deadlines are announced: the last car will leave the conveyor of the plant in Germany on November 30, 2025.
On this, the story of Focus, which in the last decade was the best -selling car in the world, will end. The model diverged well in Europe last year: for 12 months, Europeans bought more than 85 thousand tricks, and this is a solid figure, although 15 percent less sales volumes in 2023. The factory on which the model is now assembled will not close, but will convert to the service and logistics center.

In the fall of 2024, the head of Ford Jim Farly said that the American company will eventually refuse to produce “boring” cars, like Focus, to focus on the production of religious models – Bronco, Mustang, Raptor and others. In other words, the vector will shift towards crossovers, SUVs, pickups and commercial transport.
It is logical that with the rejection of “ordinary” machines, the Ford positions can weaken relative to competitors in the person of Volkswagen, Toyota, Stellantis, Kia and Hyundai, which continue to produce cars for the mass consumer. Ford sales in the European market have already been sank: according to Jato Dynamics, in 2024 they were reduced by 16 percent, to 461,291 pieces. And with the completion of Focus production in the European model line of the brand, there will be no traditional cars, since Fiesta and Mondeo have already been resigned.
