At the Motor Show in Shanghai, the BZ7 model debuted, which is subject to the status of an electric flagship of the brand. A business bar of more than five meters has been developed by the GAC-Toyota Chinese branch and will be produced at a local factory. Design in the spirit of competitors: frameless doors, “hidden” handles for the reverse grip, a bunk optics with LED ribbons in the entire width of the body.

In the cabin without revelations: a large touchscreen with a console of “hot” keys, a high central tunnel with a bar for wireless charging, a small digital dashboard and unexpectedly large knitting needles of the multi -melter with “swings”.

By the design of the exterior, Toyota BZ7 is similar to the new Lexus ES, but the similarity is only stylistic: the platforms of sedans should be different. However, there are no data on the technique. Since the Japanese novelty is revealed to the rivalry with the Byd Han and Tesla Model 3, the power plant should be powerful and effective, and the four -wheel drive in the “senior” equipment is required.

A characteristic detail is Lidar on the roof: it hints at the autopilot at least the second level of autonomy. The Chinese market “Semel” will enter until the end of the year, and in general, the BZ line (Beond Zero) is considered “global”, so export prospects are visible. Whether the Chinese assembly sedans will send to other countries or Toyota will launch production at another factory – an open question.
