The Chinese technohigant proposes to supply the top version of the SU7 electric car with a carbon fiber with two massive ventilation holes. The option is paid and is not cheap – 42 thousand yuan, or 470 thousand in terms of rubles at the current course. However, the first customers have already been disappointed: it turned out that the “nostrils” almost did not pass air, writes Car News China.

For almost half a million, in terms of Xiaomi rubles, a 1548-horsepower SU7 Ultra will equip a carbon hood with two ventilation holes. This will make an electric car more like a prototype, which last year set a nourburgering record, having drove the track in 6 minutes and 46.874 seconds.

The hood made by hot pressing will reduce the mass of the electric car by 1.3 kilograms. But the advantages end on this: customers, apparently, will not receive any improvements to aerodynamic characteristics. Xiaomi in the advertising of a carbon hood focuses on an aerodynamic function.

Xiaomi promised not to limit the speed of electric cars after the owners’ complaints of the Chinese Xiaomi actively lures BMW employees of the Superficent Xiaomi Su7 Ultra accident on the racing track – and this is what became of it

Some of the SU7 Ultra customers with the “nostrils” held simple tests using a blower. In social networks, they claim that no air flow is created, and they accuse Xiaomi of knowingly false advertising. The company itself has not yet reacted to the statements of indignant customers.

In parallel, the scandal is flared up with another Chinese brand – Avatr, which is also accused of lies associated with aerodynamics. The famous Chinese blogger conducted independent tests of the 12 sedan in an aerodynamic pipe and found out that the frontal resistance coefficient is almost 30 percent higher than the manufacturer certifies.
