In the Volgograd region, Bach “Archeda” takes place. This is the third stage of the Russian championship for SUVs and the second for trucks. The tests are completed, the technique is configured. On May 16, participants will pass a 24-kilometer prologue. The crews are aimed at struggle for glasses and prizes. After two stages, there are clear leaders, but the alignment of forces can still change significantly. We represent the leaders of the championship.
There are two more thirds of the Russian Rally-Radam championship season and the main event of the summer is the Silk Road race, which only two months remain. But for all crews, it is important to score glasses at the Volgograd Bach, as this is a great opportunity to make a good confusion and break away from competitors. It is worth noting that this year the Silk Road is not included in the Russian Championship.

In the absolute standings, obvious leaders have already been designated. Boris Gadasin, the winner of the Northern Forest and the bronze medalist of the Kagan Gold, scored 40 points after two stages. And Belgorodets Alexei Cherkesov, who brilliantly showed himself in Astrakhan, at the moment occupies the second line in the list of applicants for the podium. In addition, it is impossible to discount Anastasia Nifontov, who was a little unlucky at the last stage. But Anastasia is a real fighter and on its fast “tiny” intends to take revenge in Volgograd. She certainly will not miss a chance, since in T3 she also claims to be high places, so Alexei Cherkesov will have to try to hold his position in front of this purposeful racer. And, we hope this will be an exciting struggle.

Andrei Sushentsov stably performs on standard SUVs – two stages and two silver medals. Andrei Gorkov, for whom Archeda will become the beginning of the 2025 racing season, will join his constant rival, Leonid Petrov from Kolomna. With interest, we are waiting for the battle of three Toyota cars in the Armedinsko-Don sands.

In the category of raid-sport, the situation is stable: the first two stages of both crews of the GAZ Raid Sport team were brilliantly passed. Alexey Ignatov and Evgeny Pavlov scored 50 points and won two gold, and Alexander Semenov, along with Dmitry Okhotnikov, – 40 points and two silver medals. But it is too early to relax. At this stage, their rivals will be the powerful and fast crews of Bogdan Vavrenyuk on prototypes: GAZ 67 (in fact, GAZ 67 has only a name in it), Mikhail Rastorguev on Nissan Pathfinder and Mikhail Mityaev on Lada Niva Sport.

It is too early to build any forecasts, despite the fact that we are now holding a leading position in our test category. Now only the beginning of the season, and the whole struggle will be ahead. For those who have not shown a good result in the first stages, there will be less chance of a mistake and the price of each race will be higher and higher.
