The French edition L`argus shared information about the five -door of the next generation. According to insiders, KIA CEED will be replaced by a “clone” of overseas K4 with a revised range of power units and a rate on hybrid systems. The debut in Europe is expected in 2026, the basic version will receive a small 1.0-liter engine with “mechanics”, not available in America.
In Mexico and the United States, customers choose between atmospheric engine 2.0 (149 hp, 179 Nm) with a variator and turbo engine 1.6 (193 hp, 264 Nm) with an 8-speed automatic. In Europe, the gamma will be different: a three-cylinder turbo engine 1.0 (100 hp) with “mechanics” or a 7-speed “robot” is expected. The turbo engine is also planned 1.5 with a capacity of 140 horsepower.

The usual Kia CEED of the next generation will receive a 48-volt starter-generator, and the 141-horsepower loaded hybrid with atmospheric 1.6, an electric motor and a 6-speed “robot” is also likely. There will be no completely electrical versions, it is also silent about the fate of the 1.6 CRDI diesel engine (136 hp). The branched gamut of the bodies will probably also have to forget.
The fate of the current Kia Ced family is a foregone conclusion: the model configurator is closed, the production of CEED and XCEED is about to end, and the Proceded station wagon is no longer available. Warehouses will be enough until the end of 2025, so 2026 Kia European sites will meet with an abbreviated gamut.
