Xpeng is preparing to unveil its latest development, the Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC), at CES 2025, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 11. In China, accepting orders for the LAC is already open, and the number of applications has exceeded two thousand, while the model will cost about two million yuan (almost 28 million rubles at today’s exchange rate).
The Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC) is a six-seat, three-axle minivan with a hybrid powertrain in which the internal combustion engine acts as a generator. In its trunk there is a flying module designed for two people – it is equipped with six rotors and several impellers, thanks to which the failure of even several motors will not lead to a fall, and can take off and land vertically.

Production of the LAC has not yet begun – Xpeng only began construction of a plant where the flying cars will be assembled at the end of October. The enterprise, located in Guangzhou, will be designed to produce 10 thousand cars.
At the same time, the Chinese media write that the plant being built in Guangzhou will produce only flying modules, and the carrier minivan, in turn, will be “registered” at the already existing XPeng plant – the company has two of them, in Zhaoqing and the same Guangzhou.
