The main Russian Drift Championship is returned to Nizhny Novgorod-the third stage of the Grand Prix of the Russian Drift of the series (RDS GP) will be accepted by the Nizhny Novgorod Ring Automobile Sports Complex this weekend, June 14 and 15.

In 2025, the organizers of the RDS GP returned to the classical version of the evaluated section of the highway, well familiar to both the regulars of the championship and the debutants who came from the RDS Europe. The classic NRING configuration for drift – with long protracted arcs, sharp shifts and a complex finish with an upholstered mountain – will require special skill from athletes.

The clear favorite of the weekend will be the leader of the Takayama Forward Auto team George Chivchyan, who is the sole record holder in the number of victories at the Nizhny Novgorod Ring. At the upcoming stage, Gocha has every chance to win for the ninth time, and this success can be the first victory in the RDS GP for his new Forward Racing RZ34 sports car, built on the basis of the Nissan 400Z.

Among the applicants for the victory are Fresh Racing pilots Damir Idiyatulin and Evgeny Losev: the first last season won in Nizhny Novgorod, the second became the prize -winner of the stage. You can wait for good results from the current RDS GP champion Artyom Shabanov from Timeup, who in 2024 took the second place on the Nizhny Novgorod Ring and took this next step to victory according to the results of the season.

RDS GP

Special attention will be focused on the debutants RDS GP. With the Nizhny Novgorod Ring, many recruits of the championship are well known from performances in the inter -regional series RDS Europe (since 2025 RDS Open) – Kirill Matskevich (TimeUp) won Nring last season, and Ivan Palmin (Carville Race) has won qualification in RDS in RDS Europe Pro.

RDS GP

It will be possible to monitor the events on the highway both from the stands of the Nizhny Novgorod Ring Automotive and live, and live on the RDS TV platform – qualification races can be viewed for free after registration, and paired races will be available by subscription.
