Avito Auto studied applications for car loans submitted on the platform in the first quarter of this year. The average loan amount at the beginning of the year amounted to 1,009,000 rubles, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the data of the platform. Most of the applications were submitted for the purchase of domestic LADA cars – their share was 12.1 percent of the total.
In second place in the number of applications with a noticeable margin is Korean Kia. Her share is eight percent. This is followed by Hyundai with a 7.4 percent share, Toyota with a 6.7 percent and Volkswagen with six percent.
At the same time, the Russians became more often interested in loans for Mercedes-Benz cars: the number of applications compared to the last quarter of 2024 increased by one and a half times.

As for the models, here is the championship at Lada. Lada Granta loans accounted for 3.7 percent of all applications. The second place is in Priora with 2.7 percent, the third – Hyundai Solaris with 2.6 percent. The fourth and fifth lines went to Kia Rio (2.3 percent) and Toyota Camry (2.1 percent). Popularity among borrowers significantly increased Lada Vesta: per quarter, the number of applications increased by 66.3 percent.
In early May, five automatic machines were reduced for their products: Chery, EXEED, LIVAN, SWM, as well as domestic KAMAZ. Kamaz “KOMPAS 5”, which threw 860 thousand rubles in some versions, fell stronger than others.
