Hyundai’s Ioniq brand enters the Chinese market

Hyundai Motor has launched Ioniq electric vehicles on the Chinese market. At the upcoming 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Ioniq will unveil its first production vehicle specifically designed for Chinese consumers.

Hyundai has relied on local engineers to develop future models, a common practice adopted by many global automakers.

Thus, in the field of autonomous driving, the Koreans’ partner was Momenta, which helps optimize autopilot systems for local conditions.

In addition to fully electric cars, the new brand will introduce hybrid models, as Hyundai has extensive experience in creating internal combustion engines.
