A driverless bus will transport skiers in the Altai Mountains

The Russian startup Navio launched the transportation of passengers on the first autonomous shuttle L5 around the territory of the Manzherok resort. The 20-seater unmanned vehicle does not have controls or a driver’s workplace, and the operation of the system is controlled by an engineer.

The cabin is made of premium materials and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable ride for passengers. Thus, the package includes special fastenings for ski equipment.

In addition, the car is equipped with adaptive climate control, as well as an intelligent lighting system that can adapt to changing environmental conditions.

The introduction of autonomous transport will help improve road safety, increase transportation efficiency and optimize costs, as well as solve the problem of personnel shortages.

The development was carried out by the Saratov State Technical University, the manufacturing was carried out by the Saratov Aviation Plant, and the articulation unit was provided by the Trolza trolleybus plant.
