The RT-NEO IRKUTSK company, which provides services for the collection, transportation, disposal, disposal and processing of municipal solid waste, completed two-week testing of a prototype of a new electric garbage truck developed by KAMAZ PJSC.
This is the first public demonstration of the electric truck, which is based on the modern K5 architecture. Previously, KamAZ built electric trucks on the K3 and K4 chassis.
For vehicles based on the K3, the capacity of the traction battery was 156.6 kWh, and the estimated range when fully loaded (taking into account the work of the superstructure for compacting waste) was 100 km.
Let us add that the electric garbage truck moves and operates almost silently, which makes it possible to remove solid household waste from residential areas even at night.
